By applying, I voluntarily consent to and authorize the Association, and any third party acting on its behalf, to conduct a background investigation in connection with my candidacy for and potential service as a Leader on one or more of the Boards of Governors, Division Boards, and/or Board of Directors or otherwise as a volunteer (e.g. as an Ambassador), including but not limited to inquiry into my criminal, civil, financial, professional, licensing, employment history, and/or social media. I further consent to and authorize the Association to review and consider publicly available information from my social media accounts and other online or public sources. I understand that this consent extends to obtaining such information from any source, and I authorize those sources to release the requested information. I acknowledge that I am providing this consent freely and that the results may be used by the Association in evaluating my candidacy and continued service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, and hold harmless the Association (which includes its subsidiaries and affiliated companies and corporations), its officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and any third parties acting on its behalf from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or relating to the background investigation, the social media and online review, or the use of information obtained through them.
