In 2027, Florida Realtors® meetings will be held on the following dates:

Mid-Winter Business Meetings - January 20-24, Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, Orlando, FL

Annual Convention/Governance Meetings - August 24-29, Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando, FL

Duties, Responsibilities and Functions:

1. Florida Realtors® Directors are appointed through an application process by the Chairman-Elect with the approval of the Board of Directors of the MIAMI REALTORS® + RWorld for a one-year term beginning January 1 of each year.

2. Florida Realtors® Directors are expected to make a commitment to attend the Florida Realtors® Mid-Winter Business Meeting, and the Florida Realtors® Annual Convention/Governance Meetings. This may require a 3 day commitment for each of the two meetings.

3. Florida Realtors® Directors must seek pre-approval from the MIAMI REALTORS® + RWorld Chair if they would like to attend the FR Board of Directors and District Caucus virtually.

4. Florida Realtors® Directors are expected to be active at the local association.

5. Florida Realtors® Directors are required to attend Annual District 4 Forum/Conference.

6. Florida Realtors® Directors are required to attend the respective Board of Directors Meetings and District Caucuses at the Florida Realtors® Mid-Winter Business Meeting and the Florida Realtors® Annual Convention/Governance Meetings.

7. Florida Realtors® Directors are strongly encouraged to support incoming Florida Realtor® Presidents and Leadership by attending the Installation Dinner at Florida Realtors® Mid-Winter Business Meeting.

8. Florida Realtors® Directors must be prepared to report to their respective boards at the local association level concerning the actions of committees at the state level.

9. Florida Realtors® Directors are expected to provide input to the local association concerning controversial issues which might come up for discussion at the state level.

10. Florida Realtors® Directors are expected to explain the rationale and policy underlying the decisions of the Florida Realtors® Board of Directors to local association boards and members whenever possible.

11. Reimbursement of any expenses incurred by Florida Realtors® Directors will be in accordance with policy established by the Association and subject to compliance with the above.

Eligibility:

All REALTOR® members of the MIAMI REALTORS® + RWorld active at the local and/or state level. Community, charity, civic and political involvement will be considered. Including RPAC contributions.
